Nobody! It was my father-in-law's shop first, and it was always named that. But when we wound up having to fight a few battles, I picked up my big carpentry hammer, and since then, people always called me Magnus the Hammer.
Yeah. I went to Raven's Roost when I was a kid so I could learn carpentry. I apprenticed with Steven, and then I met his daughter.
[Smiling to himself.]
They were, uh, really good people. Steven always treated me like I was his own kid. And Julia was just about the best person you could ever meet. She was smart, and tough, and she didn't stand for any bullshit.
[Good people, definitely. It's easy to imagine Magnus among people like that - since he, too, has been warm and kind and didn't stand for any of the murdergame's bullshit.
They were. It was the best time of my life, y'know? I've always been a guy who goes out and looks for adventure, but just living in a peaceful town, making things with my hands that I'm proud of for people who are gonna love them, surrounded by the best people you could ever meet -
That's what life's supposed to be about. You have to hold onto things like that.
