at any rate, what she has going for her with this type of weapon is mainly her reach and her speed - so she lunges forward to take the initiative, jabbing at kara as soon as she's within range, shifting her weight from one foot to another in anticipation of needing to dodge. when it comes to strength, kara surely has her beat, so she'd like to avoid a direct blade-on-"blade" confrontation.]
