Doesn't matter now, does it? Enough people were angry at me for defending Lili that they put me here. Talking about what could have been doesn't change that.
No, but it can and should affect how they will react if you manage to walk away from this. If they can acknowledge that you never should have been put into this position in the first place, it should be easier for them to stay their hands tomorrow, whatever the outcome may be.
They might be able to recognize it, but if I have to kill someone they love, then they won't care that I shouldn't be here in the first place. All that will matter is that they're hurting. It's happened every time they've voted someone innocent before, so why would this be any different?
You are innocent - it is your right to fight for your life.
...but it is the right of whomever ends up in there with you to fight, as well, if they are innocent. I hope that whatever happens, everyone will remember that.
I am speaking of the others outside the ring who would potentially be casting judgment upon the survivor. They are the ones who I am hoping will remember that.
