I'm a cultivator! I work with resentful energy, personally.

Hmm... spells, I suppose. Some have more of an aptitude for using magic than others - there are some scholars who believe it is hereditary, and runs in our blood.

How do you make use of such energy?

Mm! There's speculation like that where I come from, too - that only cultivation families have what it takes to form a golden core. Some are more apt than others with that, too.

The way you would any other sort of energy, really! You just have to take care to, ah, cleanse yourself and what you work with. It can be a lot if you aren't used to dealing with it or don't have a strong tolerance.

Cleansing is important, and so are grounding techniques, but as long as you take care it can be used the same as any other energy.

I believe so, yes, though I am not certain that it draws on particular types of energy. A magician would exhaust all their strength if they cast spells one after another and would eventually find themselves unable to continue doing so, but after some time to rest, would be able to do so again.

So it does sound like some manner of energy is involved...

Mm! It sounds a lot like the use of qi, where I come from. An internal source of energy that you can use to do more traditional cultivation.

Could very well be possible! Though a key component of cultivating is a golden core, and it's said only those from cultivation families or with a history of cultivation somewhere in their bloodline has what it takes to form that.

A golden core forms right here! I've described it as something similar to an organ, since it circulates qi through your body in the same way a heart circulates your blood. It's a tangible, physical thing, but doesn't entirely follow the laws of regular physics, since it was created from qi in the first place.
