[Hopefully, they've found it. If not, they'll just have to fight the snake in the morning. Surely it can't kill all forty of them...?]

I want to talk to the sleepers. If they've been asleep all this time, they'll be confused once they wake up.

[He pauses, wondering if he should volunteer this next tidbit.]

My best friend is one of them.

[His best friend. That must have been hard, then - to spend all this time not knowing if the sleepers were going to be okay. But it also doesn't surprise her even a little that Zenitsu is already thinking of their comfort; he's always been a kind and considerate person.]

They shall be safe soon - and I am sure they will be very happy to see you, when they wake up. [...] May I ask - what is your best friend like...?

[He smiles, because, despite everything and how lowly he feels about himself more than ever, Anya will always put a smile on his face.]

Her name is Anya. She's an idol and one of the kindest people you'll ever meet. We were roommates at the mansion.

She seemed lovely, from what I saw. I hope you will be able to see her again very soon.

[He hopes that's all she saw. Those screens were a menace.]

[And he hopes that Anya will emerge, hand in hand, with their mutual friends. That would be the ideal awakening for someone like her.]

...I would like to check on the people who were sleeping, as well.

[Mitsuri, in particular, she wants to see again. She'd also like to make sure Ryuji and Yusuke find Akira, too.]

After that, I think... if it is possible... I ought to go home.

[Those people would surely love to see Flayn again. Hopefully, they'll open their eyes tomorrow.]

What's your home like?

Fódlan as a whole is... it is wonderful. There are so many different sights to see, and so many different types of people that live there.

[...she doesn't get to see much of it herself, though.]

I spend most of my time at Garreg Mach Monastery, in the center of Fódlan. People from all three of the continent's countries make their way there, so living there is almost like getting to see the world. There are always so many people bustling about...

[lively places are the best, after all. at least, that's what she thinks.]

[It depends on the crowd for Zenitsu. But a lively place beats a lonely place any day of the week.]

That sounds amazing.

I'd like to visit a place like that someday, especially if the people there are anything like you and Dimitri.

...you are always welcome to drop by for a visit! Um, that is... if we are able to make that happen. I did hear from Dazai, you all received things that should allow that at the end of your time at the mansion, so...

If things work out well, perhaps we will be able to see each other again?

If I get those orbs back, I'll definitely use them to visit Fódlan. You can show me all your favorite places at the monastery.

[Flayn's eyes light up. When she smiles, it actually reaches her eyes - which has been a rare sight, these past few weeks.]

Oh, you would love the monastery gardens, I think!

[What a sweet sight. It softens his own smile in turn.]

Is that right? How do they look compared to this place?

They are somewhat similar - they do have seating areas to allow us places to have tea. There is not quite as many varied types of flowers there, but the ones that have been planted are lovely, and it is easy to tell that the groundskeepers put a lot of care into the work they do.

[She sighs wistfully. Soon, she'll go back.]

It is one of my favorite places there.

[He nods along, thoroughly enjoying that she's enjoying this. The gardens must be beautiful.

It would be nice if he could see it. It would be even better, though, if Flayn could go back there. After all this, she deserves to sit in the warmth under the sunlight, watching the flowers and passersby.]

What kind of tea do you like?

I enjoy lighter teas... there is a sweet-apple blend that I enjoy, and an almond blend that is quite tasty. There is also a blend of tea called crescent-moon tea that... I am not quite certain of the contents, but it is very relaxing, regardless.

[Congrats to anyone reading this: you know which teas to provide Flayn with for a perfect teatime if you play FE3H now.]

I have not been able to find it in the kitchens here, or recreate the blends perfectly well... it is a shame. I would have liked to be able to share it with people!

What sorts of teas are your favorite?

Well, I usually drink green tea . . . I did try some chamomile tea with Dimitri before, though.

[It's too bad. He would've liked to have been able to share tea with her, too. There's so much he would've liked that just didn't pan out.]

If I'm able to visit you, I'd want to try them.

[Flayn is thoughtful, for a moment - and then she holds out the her pinkie to him.]

...shall we make it a promise? Not if - when you are able to visit me, you shall try whatever teas you want.

[They don't know how tomorrow will turn out, but maybe putting this out into the universe will help turn things toward the outcome they want.]

[His heart skips a short beat at the sight of the proffered pinkie. Clumsily, he offers his own pinkie in return with a quick nod, a faint blush dusting his cheeks.]

It's a promise. And I'll ask you to show me all your favorite flowers in the gardens.

[She beams at him. Pinkie promise, made.]

[He watches their pinkies loop around one another with a look of naked fascination before pulling his hand back.

It's amazing, how something so little can carry so much hope. His smile widens, softening the look of his eyes.]
