A sailor went to sea, to see what he could see, but all that he could see, was at the bottom of the deep blue sea...

There's also something in the water.

... Was the same song in the heads of anyone else who woke up there?
vigilantics: (open up your heart.)

[ she nods. ]

... I mean, I guess it might be easy to fake knowing such a simple a song, but at the very least everyone seemed to know it.

Could try singing only one line at a time next time and seeing if the others can pick up from where you left off, I suppose, but that's not necessarily foolproof...

One thing we did try one time was not saying anything to each other anything after waking and just. Writing down what we thought was the effect, and all of us turning in what we wrote to compare and confirm?

[ not that it stopped her from being suspected anyway if they were watching today's trial, but. ]

Huh... that's a good idea, actually.

I'll probably use that.

I don't think the shark that's there will try to do anything to us. Nurse sharks are pretty peaceful.
vigilantics: (you're not good for each other.)

You're not getting more turnips.
vigilantics: (you feel it.)

[personal profile] vigilantics 2020-06-20 04:14 am (UTC)(link)
... yeah.

This one seems kinda annoying.

Great.

Who wants to take bets on them needing a strong swimmer at some point for evidence at the bottom of the lake?
vigilantics: (and all that we could.)

Hopefully what's actually down there is easy to bring back up...

Watch it be stuck in the muck, or tangled in some vegetation or something.

And if it's a weapon, it'll misfire and-or injure the retriever somehow.

I think I told Belph to avoid ducks if he saw them in the mansion, but this was before we realized there's nothing alive there anymore.

[ it sounds like a non-sequitur but it's really not. ]

Someone threw a gun in the duck pond.

While retrieving it as evidence, someone got shot. By a duck.

Would be awfully nice, wouldn't it.

[He rubs at the side of his face which is blossoming an impressive shade of purple along the cheekbone.]

You never know where evidence is gonna turn up, though. We ended up with knives randomly flying into the trial on request, so taking a swim doesn't sound too crazy.

Someone used a favor for a hint [spoilers, it was him] and the hint was just the gods sending us knives that someone had thrown out into the clouds in an attempt to get rid of them.

I guess they were stuck in an endless drop or something, because when we got them back, it just... rained knives onto a few of us.
