they sure are falling. flayn gives an involuntary shriek.]

[he reaches for her arm on instinct once his own surprised yell is done, trying to pull her closer through the empty air. unfortunately for the both of them, i rolled a four, so the closest he gets is his hand brushing her sleeve.

he tries to speak over the sound of the air rushing past them.]

Can you see anything we can grab...?!

[luckily for them both i rolled a 15, so when flayn feels his hand brush against her sleeve, she grabs for him on reflex




it does not stop them from falling, but. she turns her head, looking around, but - ]

[he looks around as well, trying desperately to tell if he can make out anything to grab onto or at least to see how far down the ground is, but no dice. either way, once she holds onto him, it makes it easier for him to do the same, so now they're at least falling together! yay.]

They didn't prepare all of this just to drop us to our deaths. I'm sure there's going to be something.

[the jury's out on whether he's saying that for her benefit or his, but anyways.]

[that does not really seem to reassure her, but it's hard to be reassured when you're falling and there isn't anything to catch yourself on.

in vain, because nothing will appear for them to catch themselves on. nothing at all. they will just eventually splat.]

[it feels like a long time as they keep going, but - at least neither of them are looking at the ground when it rushes up to meet them. it's probably less terrifying that way.

once they hit the ground and black out, though, and as soon as they're aware again in the hallway:]

Did you have, like... weekly activities during either of the groups you've been in before? Kazunari said he wondered if they might come during that, if we have any of those.

Hmm... not that I can recall from the first, but we did have things happen during the middle of the week in the second... was that the case for you as well?

Yeah! And there were people there to help run it when we had that, so... Maybe it'll be the same here, even if that means we might need to wait a while.
