[it's DATE TIME. where are they going for their date? honestly who knows, but they'll have to run across each other at some point to get things started - so when they do, flayn smiles.]

Beau! Good morning. How are you dong today?

[ she's kind of a mess, with her bandaged/splinted right hand and the eyepatch over her left eye. the eyepatch is mostly covered by her hair and phoenix's beanie, however. ]

Sore. But you know. [ she's smiling anyway, as best she can. ] You?

[As well as anyone can be, anyway. Beau is at least smiling, so that's good. If Beau can smile, she ought to try to as well.]

What are you plans for today?

Well - I thought I might try my luck today, actually. I don't really have any plans, yet, but.

[ she sort of half bows, amused. ] But maybe if you're not busy, we could go on a date.

[she's sure beau will come up with something good! also - this way they're only doing something that beau feels comfortable doing with her injuries on this date.]

I had this vision of just like, you covered in kittens? And you're already cute as it is, so I can't imagine how much cuter you're gonna I get that image.

but the heat of beau's skin is concerning. flayn doesn't let go, but she does look up at her, concerned. kittens are adorable and she's excited to go meet a bunch of them, but--]

Unless I've had a fever for like, two straight days, which I guess is not, uh. Out of the question.

[ she links their fingers together. ] Don't worry too much, okay?

[that's a little better. flayn breathes out a small sigh of relief as beau links their fingers together and nods.]

Ah... so, you said something about kittens?

[ well!! she will swing their hands back and forth a little as they walk. ]

I did, yeah. We should grab some food before we go, though, so they don't try to eat your fingers. [ she tugs flayn along. ] A vicious duck tried to eat my shirt the other day.

[onward they go to find some kitten snacks!]

A tortoise tried to eat my dress before. It was quite funny! [hmm... as for the cats, though...] Perhaps we could catch them a fish? ...or I suppose it might be simpler to see if there is any fish already prepared in the kitchen.

You really like fishing, huh? Is it because you like the taste of fish, or what? [ she saw shadows just hand flayn a whole-ass fish the other day. ]

I have good memories of fishing with my parents.

...it is a good way to relax, too. It can be very peaceful.

I've never been. [ a pause. ] What if we went fishing instead? Would you be okay with that?

That would be a lot of fun! And if we caught something delicious, perhaps I could cook it for you! I have become much better at cooking as of late.

[ she laughs. ] Me too, actually. I've been cooking for Phoenix because he burns toast every fucking time he's in the kitchen.
