Anyway, Flayn should probably be resting, given her injury and all - but instead, she's in the waiting room at the Director's Office. She's got a thoughtful look on her face as she watches the bunnies, as if she's trying to decide which of them she wants to feed (and which of the directors she wants to harass, in turn).
she expects flayn to be up and standing instead of resting since that's what beau would be doing, but she huffs regardless. beau folds her arms, leaning against the doorframe. ]
None that I have noticed. I cannot say that it is exactly comfortable... [because a stab wound to the side isn't at all comfortable] ...but there do not appear to be any complications.
Don't thank me. [ she looks vaguely amused. ] This is just in preparation for when my ass eventually gets handed to me and I have to use this as something to hang over your head so you'll let me wander around the camp when I shouldn't.
Well, whatever ulterior motives you may have in allowing me to roam as I please - I am unfortunately accustomed to others attempting to make me rest for my own good. So it is quite refreshing that you are not.
[flayn smiles]
...although I cannot guarantee that I will not at least urge you to consider resting, should that come to pass.
[ lbr phoenix gives her a stern look and she immediately behaves ]
I'm... yeah. I mean. As much as I can be. [ she leans a little more heavily against the door. ] I don't know if I can really say I'm okay after watching a kid get beat to death with a rock, but I'm - hanging in there.
I think "hanging in there" may be what most of us mean by "okay" in the coming weeks.
[It's definitely going to get harder moving forward. There isn't any doubt about that. Especially for people like Beau, who came from places where they had been trapped for quite a long time - they must be so worn down already.]
...but so long as we can keep moving forward, then... a way out of this, for everyone, is still within our reach.

[You know what they say about great minds.]
I imagine they are probably rather busy... [BUT... she wants to talk to them anyway.]

[ she sighs. ] Speaking of wounds.

...I am sorry if I worried you.

You did, but - it's okay. I'm not your fucking mom, I'm not gonna make you lay down or whatever, especially because you're not feverish.

...thank you for that.

[ a pause. ] Are you doing okay otherwise?

[Flayn's glad to know there are people out there looking out for Beau's safety.]
...yes.
[This whole situation sucks, but... yes. She's okay.]
Are you?

It'll just get harder from now on.
