My birthday falls on the same day as Saint Cethleann Day — there are festivals throughout Fódlan, and it is much livelier at the monastery then. There are usually activities of some kind in town...
Ah, and then a few weeks after that is the Goddess' Rite of Rebirth. People come from all over Fódlan to celebrate when the Blue Sea Star reappears in the sky.
It appears in the sky during the Blue Sea Moon, and disappears during the Ethereal Moon. It is believed that it is the home of the Goddess, and that it was from there that Saint Seiros descended...
[flayn realizes, as she's explaining, that there is a lot of knowledge she just sort of takes for granted that other people will know. even more than a month away from fódlan, old habits are hard to break.
her voice trails off.]
...ah, I have not really explained about the Goddess, Seiros, and the Four Saints, have I?
I see. Well... I hope what I have to say is not anything you have already heard - I would hate to bore you.
[but, hmmm, where to start, where to start...]
As the legends tell it, the goddess Sothis watches over the land of Fódlan. There came a time when the world had great need of someone to do her will - and so Saint Seiros appeared in the land of Enbarr and began to work miracles. The land was stricken by war, and following a revelation from the Goddess, the people who would become the Four Saints - Saint Indech, Saint Macuil, Saint Cichol, and his daughter Saint Cethleann - joined forces with Saint Seiros to restore peace to the people.
is what flayn would say if not for the fact that as soon as she locks eyes with her and raises a hand in greeting, a memory overtakes them both. oops!]
[ beau just goes ahead and spills coffee on herself when she gets hit by the memory. when she comes out of it, she squints down at the spill, and then slowly brings her coffee up to sip from anyway.
it doesn't matter how long it takes her to find her - she'll keep looking, even in the weather they're having. (luckily, someone seems to have intervened; by the time she does track beau down, she's been bundled up in yin yu's outer robe, which is way too big for her. it matches the scarf she was wearing at trial quite nicely.)
when she finally does find her - she hesitates, but only because she isn't sure how into the idea of company beau is right now.]
[ she's out in front of the isolation cabin, because of course she is. and while she's not... against company, she's maybe not the best company herself, wrapped in a blanket and sitting outside.
she glances at flayn, and can't even really muster a smile. ]
