[Gods, but she wishes she had found him anywhere else. Dimitri seems to spend so much time with the ghosts of his past already; he doesn't need to be haunted by the camp's ghosts, as well.
But she can't really blame him, either. She brings fresh flowers every week because she can't let them go.]

[They'd been together the day before to make the bouquets that have been placed in the memorial hall, and she hadn't even noticed that there was anything weighing on his mind more heavily than she'd expected there to be as a result of the trial and execution themselves.
[ Ah, that. He lets out a quiet sigh, eyes fluttering closed for a moment. ]
...It's all right, Flayn.
[ She's not the one who killed anyone. The only mistake they made was not realizing what Shinobu had done at the time.
All things considered, though, he doesn't respond with the same, barbed anger as before, more collected than he'd been on the island. Not disaffected—Dimitri has never been a cold man, and his chest does feel tight—but it's different this time. ]
Kocho is the only one who has to answer for what she's done. There's nothing for you to apologize about.
[Flayn stares at him for a few long moments. She doesn't seem to know what to say.
...it would be one thing, to simply comfort him on the loss of Shinobu and Giyuu and C-3PO. (The other two lives were tragic too, of course, but even though they're all in the same boat here, it feels different when it's people you knew already.)
But to have learned about what Shinobu did, and to not even be able to ask her why... For the knowledge of that to intermingle with his grief...
She wants to reach out to comfort him, but this is, perhaps, the wrong week for that. Flayn is sure that letting him feel what she is would only make matters worse.]
