It is quite alright. You should have seen how stiff I was when I first danced! I am sure it was quite amusing for my teacher.
[She smiles a little to herself. These things take time, but she's sure Yin Yu will be very good at this once he allows himself to relax. The fact that he's trying at all is heartwarming, too -
It's nice to be able to spend time with him like this.]
..hmm.
[She's sort of humming a melody under her breath. Maybe having some sort of music will make it easier to keep the rhythm.]
Is it so amusing, then? [ he comments wryly, with a huff of a laugh at his own expense. since their positions are quite reversed, after all.... now flayn is the teacher and he is the incredibly terribly stiff student. it's difficult to imagine her being bad at this; her movements are graceful and lovely, and make him feel like a fish out of water.
even if he's terribly bad at it, flayn's hands are warm through his gloves, and her little melody is lovely. he appreciates the music; it gives him something else to focus on besides how hard he is trying not to mess this up, and some of the tension slowly starts to fade, as he sways along and lets flayn's voice be the guide. ]
[It's not funny, really. In fact, it's a little nice to be able to teach Yin Yu something; so far, he's been the one to teach her.
But since he's relaxing as he hums, she'll keep at it. It spares him from having to make conversation with her while he adjusts to the dance. Maybe that's why he's more comfortable? Flayn isn't sure, but she wants him to relax and have a good time, so she's not going to push it.
Once they've been at it for awhile, though, she releases his hands and gives a small curtsy.]
Thank you for the dance, Yin Yu.
the actual reason was because i was too lazy to make an overflow top level
It's alright. [ he says, quietly, settling into the rhythm of the dance itself, just to assuage any worries. he's not offended. if anything, he is just painfully aware this must be quite boring and terrible for flayn. still, she teaches anyway; what a truly kind person.
for a moment, it's peaceful. in the face of certain danger looming on the horizon, it's nice to to do something as silly as a dance. maybe these tasks weren't all that terrible. (they were pretty terrible, actually, but... spending time with flayn is always nice.) towards the end, it seems he's relaxed almost completely, the anxiety reduced to a low undercurrent. his natural grace takes over for his awkwardness, and it makes things go just a little smoother. when she lets go, it's with the sense that maybe he learned how to do something new, today.
a smile pulls at his mouth, under the mask. when she curtsies, he puts his hand to his heart, and bows in return. ] Thank you for your teaching, Lady Flayn. This one was honored by it.
[She's glad it wasn't just awful for him the whole time - that by the end he was somewhat more relaxed. She likes spending time with him, but she doesn't like inconveniencing him.]
...I did. [ it's a genuine answer, the slight warmth to his soft voice affixed genuinely, too. the likelihood of him doing something like this with anyone else was pretty slim. even if it doesn't count for anything, it.. it wasn't so bad at all. ]
Though, I think it will take me many lessons to come anywhere near your ability. [ but... he wouldn't mind doing it again someday. maybe. when there aren't a lot of people around. ]
.....well! dancing is not something he ever really planned to learn beyond like, basic cultivational gentlemanly arts stuff. it is never something he's been remotely interested in.
but, flayn looked pretty happy to be teaching it. so. ] ...If you would continue to teach me so patiently, then, we could certainly try. Maybe I wouldn't be as much of a lost cause.
[ this will be a bit embarrassing, probably, but... she's so happy. yeah. he's fine failing at things in increasingly embarrassing ways if this keeps happening. ]
We'll have to see. [ a beat. ] Perhaps when people are not sticking together for unknown reasons.
...I do wonder why that is happening. It is quite odd, is it not?
[She can't think of any reason why it would be. There doesn't seem to be anything different about anyone's skin, and yet as soon as there's contact, they're just... stuck.]
are we continuing this in here so we can be messy without everyone seeing it right away...

[Because she would not mind continuing to teach him, if he was still interested in learning.]
Because I could likely be persuaded to provide them.

You would not be a lost cause at all! Even just now, you improved during a short lesson. With more time to practice, I am certain that you will excel.
[...and also, she gets to keep dancing with him! She's looking forward to this.]
