[The execution was hard to watch, but watch it she did. Once it's over, though, she searches for Yin Yu because they have rites for the dead to discuss. Once she finds him, she calls out to him, her expression still a little subdued.]
[ upon conversing with giyuu, meeting with flayn seemed like the next wisest choice, so when she calls out to him, he's grateful for it. with a polite bow of greeting, he nods. his mask hasn't left his face, so his expression is still impossible, but his voice is as kind and polite as ever. ]
I was looking for you as well, Lady Flayn. How can I be of assistance?
I had hoped to discuss the matter of rites foe the dead with you.
[the execution is a little... well, fresh, for all of them. so much the better. the sooner they can ensure the souls of the dead have been seen to, the better.]
I was thinking much of the same. If I might ask, is there something in particular that you would like to do?
[ it's only polite to ask. it's not like they know...well, yin yu knows of the proper way to bury one of their victims, and the pouch of ashes is still with him, tucked alongside another small pouch on his belt. ]
I am familiar with the rites of the land from which I hail, but as none of them are from Fódlan... I find myself wondering if I should not to more to try and learn about the rites from their homes.
[she's hoping he knows a bit about that... given what he said his job was]
...aside from that, I had hoped to erect some kind of a memorial for them. Dimitri found some lovely flowers that remind me very much of Marie... I think she would have liked them. But I at a bit of a loss for what to use for the others...
Mm. [ i had to do research for this tag i hope you're happy ]
...As far as I've always known, what matters is setting their souls to rest so they don't rise as resentful spirits. This situation is dangerous enough, and to die in such a way.... doing this properly may help them move on, to wherever that might be.
[ he leans on his shovel for the moment, pausing thoughtfully. ] And then there's the matter of the Lady Zoe, who claimed she was a god... in my realm, gods who die don't reincarnate at all. I suppose the best we can do is inter the bodies, and... I think a memorial would be nice.
[ he finishes it a bit lamely, but it's true. ] Perhaps I can handle the burials, if you can handle the memorials. I don't mind the labor.
I do not mind taking charge of finding things for a suitable memorial, in that case.
[it would have been a little easier if they were in her homeworld. the funerary rites of the church of seiros would have laid most souls to rest, flayn is sure - but here? no one really seems to know who her Goddess even is. would the rites of a foreign religion do anything to bring their souls peace?
she wants to believe that the Goddess would watch over all of them, regardless. but if Zoe herself was a god, too... well. maybe that wouldn't work out so well.]
...thank you for your assistance, Yin Yu. It is very kind of you.
W1, post-execution
Oh - Yin Yu... is this a good time?
