Very much so. It is almost a little eerie how tailored it is, actually... but I find I do not really have it in me to complain much, I am so glad not to be sleeping on the ground.

Was this a common occurrence, wherever you were before?

No, not in the slightest. The last place I was, we shared cabins with several other people. There were... bunk beds.

What, may I ask, is a bunk bed.

There is a bed, and attached to it on a frame with a ladder, there is another bed. The one closer to the ground is the bottom bunk, and the one further up is the top.

It is higher than a standard bed is, but it allows two people to sleep in a space that would normally only fit one.

Significantly lacking in any privacy, I would presume.

Precisely. One would sacrifice privacy for efficiency, should they choose to have one.

Useful in certain situations... but certainly not long-term. I do hope you did not deal with it overlong.

That seems to be about the average length of time, though some have been shorter. The island was only two weeks...

It is quite troubling, that there have not only been so many, but that any of us have been to multiple.

It is. Truly, I wish I understood what it was that caused so many of us to be whisked away with such regularity.
