[Hello, 45! Here's Flayn, digging through the supplies in the metal shed near the sports court. She looks a little confused by some of the balls and equipment she's finding.
When she sees 45 nearby, she calls out.]
Excuse me! I do not suppose you know what these are?
[well, back in ant cabin. we're just going to say the others are busy. steph's working on lili's injuries, so!
at any rate, flayn's kind of regretting choosing a top bunk! because she sure can't climb up there right now. but she grabs a pillow and sets it against the wall, then settles down against it, sighing heavily.]
These sorts of things often tend to be, unfortunately. If pattern holds, it's only going to get worse.
[ peers over at. she's not concerned in the least, why would you say that? ]
Doing okay there? Saying that your wound reopened doesn't really tell us anything about how much blood you might or might not have lost, and I'm not about to bother you if you just want to take a nap or something.
[ well, considering that it's a defense that 45 herself uses... used... a lot, it's not like she can really say anything about it. flayn knows her limits, probably. ]
Suit yourself. As long as I'm not the one blamed if you pass out...
If I pass out, then I shall be resting. [forcibly.] No one could blame you for that.
[she sighs, though.]
...we managed to break into a locked cabin. There was... I did not recognize what sort of building it was supposed to be. But there was a child in the first room, and Lili said she would see to him and told Yin Yu and I to go on ahead, because we could hear children crying further down the hall. [she pauses a moment to catch her breath, then continues.] But... when we went through the door, we found ourselves back on... the island. And we had forgotten all about this place.
[sup, 45. flayn hasn't quite made it back to the cabin - she's sitting at one of the benches at the bonfire, staring into the flames and contemplating how badly they all messed up today.]
Hmm. Help me look, then? Or if we can't find the appropriate equipment we could always try to put together some rules of our own with something else...
I do not know exactly how we got back. I... lost consciousness partly through everything that was happening.
[flayn hates to admit it, but that's the truth]
There was a medical tent on the beach - my side felt like... the wound had reopened, so I went inside. Yin Yu followed me in. There was someone we both knew from the island there, only younger, but nothing seemed out of the ordinary at the time. Until... she started talking about needing to take our blood to purge it of... poison? [her brow furrows. it's a blur.] Yin Yu put himself in between the two of us so she wouldn't be able to hurt me. They fought, and I tried to help, and the bleeding got worse, so I passed out.
... I feel the most annoying part of dealing with these things is figuring out what parts might be based in truth, and which ones are simply another part of whatever trap or illusion it was meant to expel you. That's both more and less than what I expected...
[ oddly direct, but not as involved as the mansion's, it seems. hm.
glances over at her. ]
You know, you can use my bunk for the time being. You don't have to sit on the floor.
I... don't know, exactly? We could try for some form of capture the flag, maybe, or we could just use the goals here for something closer to the original sport, but with less conventional balls...
More in that... It seems further removed from the reality of things compared to some of the illusions the mansion had to offer. Less in that it doesn't seem to really shed that much light on anything at all.
[ but then again, apparently it was the later groups that got more... interesting adventures, so perhaps her experiences are skewed outside of that final trip though the heart.
purge the poison, huh... ]
I don't need to sleep. It's hardly like I need the bed. But if you're apparently comfortable...
