Maybe we did. Maybe that was the wrong conclusion. Or maybe the killer didn't realize we came to that conclusion, and sought to be careful, either way.

It could be someone else for whom footprints would be uniquely identifying.

[but she doesn't look certain that that's it, either. unfortunately - they won't really know, will they? even if they do find the killer, the directors have told them they'll only get confirmation of someone's guilt during the week they're attempting to solve the case.]

"Too"... in addition to the culprit we are attempting to catch in the current week. I think all of our victims deserve for the truth of what happened to them to be known.
