All the same. Asch's theory, while convenient, doesn't hold up, considering it seems Zenitsu's killer at least was prepared to deal with his ability.

To be quite honest, I do not think I will ever understand whatever force is preventing people from admitting what they have done. Actions ought to have consequences - it is abhorrent that people are being prevented from facing them, even when they may want to.

Isn't it obvious? They're prevented from confessing because there isn't a game if they do. Without a confession, there's always room for that small, faintest bit of doubt that can fester and be the catalyst for even more trouble the next time around, exactly the show our mysterious pink voice has been looking for.
