Maybe we did. Maybe that was the wrong conclusion. Or maybe the killer didn't realize we came to that conclusion, and sought to be careful, either way.
It could be someone else for whom footprints would be uniquely identifying.
That's just it, though. What are our lives even worth?
If you asked many people from my world, only as much money as it cost to build us. We're expected to sacrifice ourselves in an instant to save the lives of any actual humans.
[ they're not weighed the same. dolls aren't people, they're personable machines. ]
[but she doesn't look certain that that's it, either. unfortunately - they won't really know, will they? even if they do find the killer, the directors have told them they'll only get confirmation of someone's guilt during the week they're attempting to solve the case.]
Haha. Almost invariably, anyone who meets me outside of my own world seems to share that opinion...

she's also got a teapot, a teacup, and a whole bag of sugar with her. it's fine.]

[ which is why it's so damn frustrating that the repeat impulse to head out keeps popping up, like a process that refuses to be killed, and it shows in how she keeps glancing back outside every so often. ]
But enough about that. How are you?
[ considering that, uh, three of those were from. her island. ]
